JPMorgan lands Piron

Moves to the US firm after six years with Standard Chartered.

Claudio Piron is leaving Standard Chartered for JPMorgan to enhance the US investment bank's FX capabilities. In his new position based in Singapore, Piron will become JPM's Asia FX strategist, taking over from James Malcolm. .

He will primarily be responsible for regional research views on Asian currency markets and will work closely with other regional analysts such as Frank Gong in China, Yen Ping Ho in Singapore, Jiwon Lim in Korea, Siddarth Mathur in India and Tohru Sasaki in Japan.

He moves to JPMorgan after a six-year term with Standard Chartered, which culminated in the recent position of global head of FX strategy, also based in Singapore.

In his new role at JPMorgan, Piron will report to David Fernandez, head of emerging Asia research.
