ITG launches best-execution system for buy-side

The broker-neutral Triton system will initially cover 11 countries in the Asian region.
Investment Technology Group (ITG) is introducing its Triton execution management system to cover 11 countries in Asia.

For a hedge fund, or a long-only fund, a solid execution management system means less time frittered managing trading. The hedge fund trader can go direct to the market if he chooses, access multiple algorithms, dark pools or trading desks.

ITGÆs system also contains market data, pre-and post-trade analytics tools enabling users to plan their trading strategy, which means that a trader can estimate how much a certain trade should cost, and then afterwards Triton will compare how it actually did. TritonÆs boast is that it is the largest provider of transaction cost analysis in the world.

In 2008 this Asian regional system will be fully integrated into ITGÆs North American and European sibling coverage which will render it a global-coverage product.

ITG employs 80 people across Asia-Pacific with offices in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Sydney and Melbourne. In mid-2007, Gabe Butler and Michael Corcoran were appointed by ITG as directors of its sales and trading in the Hong Kong and Sydney offices respectively.
