Hyperion appoints Charm as MD Greater China

Hyperion Solutions, a global leader in business analysis software, has promoted Toa Charm to the position of managing director, Greater China.

Charm will be based in Hong Kong, and responsible for overseeing the operations and business of Hyperion in the Greater China region. One of the key objectives in his new role is to maintain and further develop Hyperion’s leadership in the financial management and analytical applications markets in the region.

“The exceeding expectation and tremendous demand for business analysis software in Greater China speeds up the expansion of Hyperion in the region," says Stephen Imbler, CEO and president of Hyperion Solutions. "Charm was hired as the general manager of our Greater China operation in Hong Kong early last year. He has done an outstanding job in growing our Greater China business over 100% in a year and drawn over 20 new business partners to work with us in the region.".

Prior to joining Hyperion, Charm worked in various management positions at enterprise software vendors and multinational companies, such as Ardent, Informix, Sybase, Business Objects and JOS. Charm has an MBA from the University of Iowa in the US.
