Asset Management Awards: part 1

Today AsianInvestor is announcing its new asset management awards for 2016.

We have integrated our investment performance and service provider awards, collectively called AsianInvestor’s Asset Management Awards.

Although all of the awards will be announced together, we are staggering the pitch process. We begin now with asset services, and will follow with investment performance, country awards and marquee awards for asset managers.

For asset services, including custody, compliance/legal and audit, and trading and execution, please click here to access our online submission form. All pitches must be made using this digital process. We will not accept separately submitted pitches.

We include some basic information below. For investment managers, we will distribute a similar online pitch form. All winners will be announced online during the week of April 18.

AsianInvestor will celebrate the awards at a black-tie gala dinner on Thursday, May 26 in Hong Kong. This will form part of AI Week, a three-day series of industry events from May 24-26 comprising workshops, panels, private discussion groups, awards and conferences. It will include our 11th annual Asian investment summit featuring speakers and delegates from the region’s leading institutional investors.

ASSET SERVICES
The submission deadline for pitches is Wednesday, March 2. The awards categories are as follows:

1. Best global custodian for asset owners
2. Best global custodian for mutual funds
3. Best Asian bank for cross-border custody
4. Buyside COO of the year - we seek your nominations
5. Marquee award: Asset Service Provider of the Year

Asset Service Provider of the Year has in the past been for custodians. It is now also open to other service providers. There is only one such award.

Interested parties should submit pitches using our online submission form. Pitches should outline why your organisation deserves the award. No supplemental material will be accepted other than testimonials from buy-side clients.

Interviews will take place in Hong Kong between March 2 and March 18. Interviews can be set up in advance, but we must receive your online pitch on time. Interviews are off record and meant to put your formal pitch into context.

TRADING & EXECUTION
AsianInvestor has conducted a survey of buy-side equity traders covering Asia-Pacific markets. The results of this exercise will be published in the March magazine. We will use the results from this to generate a shortlist of candidates, whom we will invite to pitch. Unsolicited pitches in this category are not eligible.

The submission deadline for pitches is Wednesday, March 9. The awards categories are as follows:

1. Best broker for long-only
