VIDEO: Alexa Lam on China, life and a broken ankle

At AsianInvestor's recent Women in Asset Management Forum, we sat down to interview Alexa Lam, former deputy CEO of Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).

In this interview, which we have broken up into three short video clips, Lam chats about how she been spending her time since leaving the SFC this March. It has been a busy time for her, which has included a move into teaching at universities in the US and Hong Kong.

Lam's departure from the SFC was disrupted by an unfortunate injury she sustained while on holiday in Southeast Asia, which she talks about.

She also sets out her views on China's "deep structural imbalances", its wealth inequality and the degradation of the environment. She suggests that one path to achieving Beijing's "Made in China 2025" plan is the opening-up of the country's capital markets.
