Citigroup hires new investment banking boss in Malaysia

Tengku Zafrul Aziz joins Citigroup in Kuala Lumpur.
Citigroup has appointed Tengku Zafrul Aziz as director and head of investment banking for Malaysia.

ôZafrul is a key addition to our Malaysian investment banking team. He has extensive knowledge of the Malaysian market and we look forward to working with him as Citigroup continues to expand and invest in our Malaysian investment banking franchise,ö says Mark Renton, head of Asia-Pacific investment banking for Citigroup.

Zafrul joins Citigroup from Avenue Capital Resources, one of MalaysiaÆs leading financial service providers, where he was the group managing director and a member of the board.

He graduated from the University of Bristol and completed a masters in finance and investment from the University of Exeter.
