Skadden promotes three to counsel

Duggal, Roach and Lee move up from senior associate roles.

Three senior associates have been appointed counsels by international law firm, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP and Affiliates. The promotions follow the firm's policy of upgrading outstanding associates to counsel positions every May 1.

Joining the practice in 2000, Rajeev P. Duggal takes on an augmented role in Skadden's Singapore practice, where he will continue to focus on international finance and M&A transactions. At the firm, Duggal has represented issuers and underwriters in US registered and Rule 144A/Regulation S equity offerings in the US, Asia and Europe. While at Skadden, Duggal has also represented acquirers and target companies in stock and asset M&A transactions.

Also ascending the ranks of Skadden's Singapore offices is Brad Roach. He arrived at the firm in 1998 and is a member of its energy project finance and development group. As counsel, he will continue to represent sponsors and financiers in independent power, liquefied natural gas (LNP) and other various energy projects in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Australia.

At Skadden, Roach has acted on behalf of several oil and gas companies operating within Asia-Pacific and has also gained experience advising on concession agreements, production sharing contracts, joint operating agreements, LNG sale and purchase agreements, gas sales agreements and unitisation agreements.

Residing at Skadden Hong Kong since 1997, Mark J. Lee brings his general corporate and securities law expertise to his new counsel role. His legal experience includes corporate restructuring, M&A and corporate finance. Lee has also represented Asian and multinational companies and has advised the major underwriters operating in the region on corporate financing, US SEC-registered IPOS, structured financing and debt transactions among other matters. His experience also extends to cross-border M&A.
