HSBC announces new cash hires

The bank appoints a head of product management in China and a sales executive in Indonesia. Both ex-Citibankers.

Adding to about 15 new cash management hires made since the beginning of the year, HSBC has named Kee Joo Wong as head of product management in China and Herani Hermawan as vice president of sales in Indonesia.

Wong joins from Citibank where he has held several cash and trade roles in Singapore, London and Hong Kong. At HSBC he will be responsible for developing cash management services in China and launching new regional products to mainland clients.

Hermawan has also been hired from Citibank and started with HSBC this month in the role of vice president of sales in Indonesia. She has eight years of experience with foreign banks in Indonesia across various cash management sales and marketing roles. At HSBC, she will be responsible for originating and selling cash management services to corporate and commercial customers with a particular focus on the chemical, transportation, media, mining, telecommunications, SOE and automotive industry segments. At Citibank, Hermawan worked as a cash management consultant.

Other recent cash management hires at HSBC have included new business heads for Korea, Taiwan and Indonesia.
