UBS expands Korean banking research team

The investment bank appoints Kumhee Han and Peter Koo.

Kumhee Han is the new Korea banking analyst who has previously been with both Schroders Investment Management and Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong and Korea respectively.

Han will be working closely with Peter Koo who joins to cover Korea non-bank financials including insurance companies. Koo comes from Morgan Stanley where he was a member of the regional strategy team in Hong Kong and prior to that an internal consultant in the London office for several years.

Both report to Seung Hong Lee. Commenting on the hires, Michael Oertli, head of Asian research at UBS Warburg says, "I am confident that Kumhee's background in asset management and investment banking and Peter's experience of regional strategy will enhance UBS Warburg's leading research franchise in Korea."
