JFAM snags Wang

Asset manager replaces Chung Man Wing, who leaves to set up his own business.

JF Asset Management has announced that Howard Wang will be its new head of Great China following the departure of Chung Man Wing who has left the firm to set up his own hedge fund.

Wang will officially start work in early July and lead a team with over 20 years experience across the Greater China region. He heads to JF Asset Management from Goldman Sachs, where he was most recently head of the bank's Taiwan business and a member of GS Principal Strategies.

Prior to joining Goldman in 1997, Wang gleaned experience with Morgan Stanley Capital Partners Asia as an analyst. His career began with Lazard Freres in New York, which he joined in 1995.

Chung leaves JF Asset Management after four-and-a-half years in the job and also workd with HSBC Asset Management in the early 1990s.
