Baker & McKenzie promotes two in HK

Ng and Yiu take their respective practices to the partnership.

Baker & McKenzie has bolstered its Hong Kong operations, announcing the promotion of Jason Ng and Ricky Yiu to the partnership. Effective from 1 July, the promotion of the two lawyers brings the firm's total number of partners in Hong Kong, China and Vietnam to 57.

Ng ascends to the role in the corporate practice and focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, investment funds and REITs. His experience also extends to structuring and establishing unit trusts, mutual funds and private equity funds. He first joined Baker & McKenzie in 1999 and has been admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong, England and Wales and Singapore.

Focusing on real estate, Yiu rises to the partnership after joining the firm in 1994. Over his career, Yiu's practice has focused on real estate development in Hong Kong and related property acquisition and financing projects, with particular expertise in property sales and acquisitions, mortgages and New Territories developments. He is admitted to practice in Hong Kong.
