ABN AMRO boosts Singapore coverage

ABN AMRO appoints new Singapore client coverage head.

Soh Hang Kwang has rejoined ABN AMRO as head of Singapore client coverage. He has left Citibank and joins the bank where he has already previously worked for 14 years.

His new role will see him managing the bank's wholesale clients banking business, including the main relationships with top tier local corporates, conglomerates and multi national companies in Singapore.

It is a role to which Soh will be suited having previously run an ABN AMRO branch in Shanghai, run the bank's corporate banking business in Singapore and ABN AMRO's private banking business in Singapore. He might even have met the management of his new clientele in that previous role.

This is the latest in a string of senior hires the Dutch bank has made in recent months after its shift to a relationship-driven, all product business model. "We've seen very significant relationship building across the region since we first launched the client coverage business model and Hang Kwang will make further inroads in Singapore," says Richard Orders, Client Coverage Head for Asia Pacific at ABN AMRO in Hong Kong.
