He becomes overall head of research adding to his fixed income responsibilities.

Lehman Brothers has announced a key appointment in its regional research capabilities, announcing that Dr. Hua He will take on the roles of head of research, Japan and Asia (ex. Japan.). Under his new banner, He assumes responsibility for equity research in the region, in addition to his current position as head of fixed income research.

In the new role based in Japan, He reports locally to Hyung Lee, Lehman's head of fixed income Asia, and globally to Steve Hash, global head of equity research and Ravi Mattu, global head of fixed income research. He replaces William McGrath, who has relocated to London.

He first joined Lehman Brothers in 2001 and was previously a professor of finance at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut and a managing director in Salomon Brothers' fixed income arbitrage division.
