DB Capital Partners Asia pulls from down under

Deutsche Bank appoints a new head of Asian private equity business.

Deutsche Bank has appointed Roy McKelvie as the new head of DB Capital Partners Asia. McKelvie hails from DB Capital Partners - Australia and will be responsible for expanding the bank's Asian private equity business. Based in Hong Kong, he will report directly to the president of DB Capital Partners, Ted Virtue.

Prior to Deutsche Bank, McKelvie was a director at 3i, Europe's largest private equity group. He spent 10 years with the group, and during that time, established and ran 3i's Irish business, was a director of their LBO business in the UK, and director of European Development Projects. McKelvie also set up and ran the business in Australia.

DB Capital Partners focuses on making both traditional, leveraged private equity investments and venture capital investments in companies within the region.
