Deutsche Bank appoints Korn, Leonhardt

Norbert Korn moves to Singapore, and is replaced in Indonesia by Paul Leonhardt.

Deutsche Bank's Global Banking Division has appointed Norbert Korn as regional head of financial institutions, Asia.

During his 13-year career with Deutsche Bank, Korn has had a number of roles in Germany and Indonesia, most recently as head of corporate relationship management in Indonesia.

Based in Singapore, Korn will manage a team of more than 50 relationship managers across 16 countries. He will report to Alan Goodyear in Singapore, head of the bank's Asian Global Banking Division, and to Peter Tils, global head of financial institutions, in Frankfurt.

"Norbert has done a tremendous job of developing the corporate relationship managers in Indonesia," says Goodyear. "In his new role he will focus on further improving the analytical skills of the institutional relationship managers around the region."

Korn will be replaced in Indonesia by Paul Leonhardt, who has been appointed head of corporate relationships. Leonhardt joins the bank's Indonesian operations from Japan where he was head of account management. He has previously held client relationship management positions in Japan (Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya) as well as Karachi, Pakistan. He has been with Deutsche Bank since 1985.

"Paul has a strong professional background in very diverse markets," says head of Deutsche Bank's Indonesian operations, Heinz Poehlsen. "Having developed strong account management teams in Japan, I am confident that Paul will add strength to the already healthy team ethic here in Indonesia, both within his own team as well as across divisions."
