Wormser moves to Asia

SG appoints new chief for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Eric Wormser has been appointed to be chief country officer and chief operating officer of SG's corporate and investment bank (CIB) in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. The move comes following the retirement of the previous incumbent of those roles, Daniel Molle.

Wormser moves to Singapore from the US where he ran SG's CIB coverage for European and Asian clients that were operating in the US. In his time with SG, he has also worked in London, running the services, food and industrial team, and in Paris where he was head of the Anglo-Saxon team. He joined SG from National Westminster Bank.

His new role will be based in Singapore and will see him reporting to Michel Macagno, CEO of SG CIB for Asia Pacific. "I am confident that Eric's experience and knowledge will allow us to strengthen our clients coverage efforts in the Southeast Asian region, which is a key and growing market for SG CIB, " said Macagno, commenting on the move.

Wormser's relocation is the latest senior move from SG, which only last week announced that another Eric, Eric Bellaiche, had been promoted to run the Tokyo branch of SG Securities and become the new chief country officer for SG Japan.
