The Aussie bank promotes Kamraan Shariff to head the financial institutions group from Singapore

Kamraan Shariff has been promoted from leveraged finance at ANZ investment bank to become the director of the financial institutions group for Southeast Asia.

Shariff will be based in Singapore and will be responsible for managing the bank's FIG clients in the region. He reports to David Hornery, ANZ's managing director for Asia, and to Arun Nangia, segment head for financial institutions.

Prior to his current leverage finance role, Shariff spent seven years with ANZ in London in the project and structured finance team. Before this, he worked in project finance and advisory at NatWest Markets in London.

Shariff holds a BA Hons Economics degree from the University of Leeds and an MA in International Banking and Financial Services from University of Reading.

"We are delighted that Kamraan is joining our Asian industry specialist team," says Hornery. "He has significant experience across a range of investment banking disciplines as well as with institutional clients and will add a lot to our customer proposition across the region."
