First State Investments expands its Asian equities team

First State has expanded its Asian equity team with the appointment of Hsui-Mei Ho.

First State Investments has announced the appointment of Hsiu-Mei Ho as its senior portfolio manager. Including Hsiu-Mei, First State Investments now has a dedicated team of eight fund managers / investment analysts focusing on Asian equities.

Stationed in Singapore, Hsiu-Mei will manage First State Investments' Asia Pacific portfolios, particularly the Korean equities market. In addition, she will also oversee Greater China investments jointly with Martin Lau, senior portfolio manager.

Prior to joining First State Investments, Hsiu-Mei worked for Citigroup Asset Management and Schroder Investment Management. Hsiu-Mei has ten years of experience in funds management, focusing on Asia Pacific equities. Her track record includes managing some of Asia's top performing funds.

Hsiu-Mei holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National Taiwan University and a MBA degree from the University of California, Berkeley, USA.
