BoA hires Li for Hong Kong banking group

Tony Li joins Bank of America.

Bank of America has announced the appointment of Tony Li as managing director of the bank's Global Corporate and Investment Banking Group in Hong Kong.

Bringing with him more than 20 years of wholesale banking experience, Li's responsibility will be to strengthen the bank's existing client relationship coverage for local conglomerates and government-owned entities. Prior to joining BoA, Li was managing director and head of Hong Kong Debt Capital Markets at BNP Paribas. He also held key posts at Jardine Fleming Bank, Chase Manhattan Bank, and ABN Amro.

Commenting on Li's promotion, Frederick Chin, country executive officer of Hong Kong and China said: "His appointment is part of our ongoing commitment to meeting the demands of one of our key markets in Asia."
