Deutsche gets Thailand debt head

Bank of America''s loss is Deutsche Bank''s gain

Vorapak Tanyawong, former country manager of Bank of America in Thailand, has joined Deutsche Bank as its new head of debt capital markets Thailand effective immediately.

Tanyawong has also been named co-head of global markets Thailand for the group. He will be responsible for all debt origination and liability risk management.

As a senior executive at the Bank of America, Tanyawong ran the wholesale banking business and focused on debt capital raising and risk management. He spent 13 years there.

Deutsche head of global markets Asia Sikander Kanji says Tanyawong's experience "will be very useful" in furthering the bank's business in Thailand.
