As stock and derivatives exchanges consolidate, Hong Kong Securities & Futures Commission CEO Martin Wheatley urges regulators to cooperate.

The consolidation of securities and derivatives exchanges is bringing about new challenges and regulators worldwide need to work together to address these challenges, according to Martin Wheatley, CEO of Hong Kong’s Securities & Futures Commission (SFC).

“Markets today are de facto networks and a market is only as strong as its weakest link.
