The inaugural Access to Alternatives Forum is designed to help institutional investors find alpha in an increasingly overcrowded world. Fixed income returns remain low across much of the world’s credit markets and equity markets continue to underperform, Asia’s asset owners are increasingly allocating capital to alternative investments. Yet as more and more do so, the market is becoming overcapitalised, forcing asset owners to compete for deals and in turn driving up the price and lowering the returns. In order to find alpha, asset owners are increasingly looking at riskier bets, such as value-added property and venture capital.

The Access to Alternatives Forum will convene regional LPs and global specialist fund managers to discuss how, in a world wrought with geopolitical tension and in markets flush with capital, LPs can find alpha in alternative investments.
