Squadron Capital enlists Pratima

Pratima Divgi joins Squadron Capital in Hong Kong as an associate in its fund of private equity funds team.
Private equity fund of funds Squadron Capital has announced the hire of Pratima Divgi as an associate to be based in Hong Kong.

She will report to CEO David Pierce, who told AsianInvestor that the firm continues to build its expertise as it perceives a continuation of growth in Asia.

She joins from Capvent India, an Indian fund of funds manager, with which she worked in Bangalore and Goa. Before then, she worked at ICICI Bank, based in Goa.

Divgi holds a Masters of Financial Services and a Bachelor of Commerce degree, each from Goa University. In addition to English and Hindi, she also boasts fluency in Indian dialects Konkani and Marathi.

Squadron manages private equity fund portfolios having an aggregate value of well in excess of $1 billion, including the Squadron Asia Pacific Fund, a fund of funds that closed in excess of its targeted $300 million.

Squadron received an AsianInvestor award in 2007 for being the best combo fund of private equity and fund of hedge funds house, which it shared with Search GroupÆs high-octane fund of hedge funds wing, Sail.
