Photos: Luncheon for asset management's 25 most influential women

Hong Kong's JW Marriott staged AsianInvestor's long lunch for the most influential women in Asian asset management. Here we feature a photo gallery from last week's event.

AsianInvestor hosted a long luncheon at the JW Marriott Hotel in Hong Kong on June 24 to honour the 25 most influential women in asset management.

The event was designed not only to celebrate the achievements of the award winners, but also to raise money for The Women's Foundation, a non-profit charity dedicated to improving the lives of women and girls in Hong Kong through research, community programmes, education and advocacy.

AsianInvestor editor Jame DiBiasio delivered the introduction, with the keynote speech made by Shireen Ann Zaharah Muhiudeen, managing director and principal fund manager for Corston-Smith Asset Management. Herself one of the prize-winners, she is an experienced campaigner for gender equality in Southeast Asia.

She was followed on stage by Su-Mei Thompson, CEO of The Women's Foundation, whose speech touched on how company management boards featuring women tend to outperform those that don't.
