ING hires across region

ING Financial Markets expands their Asian Equity sales and research team.

ING has announced a slew of new hires across Thailand, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

The Dutch firm has hired Andrew Stotz to replace Kenneth Ng, as Head and Director of Research based in Bangkok, Thailand. Stotz was the vice president and senior banks analyst at SG securities for the past 3 years.

Francis Eng has also joined ING as vice president of the research team in Malaysia. Eng has previously worked in an investment advisory service provider. He was also a senior analyst at Arab-Malaysian Securities.

Furthermore, Edward Ong joins as vice-president in gaming, consumer and autos sectors research in Malaysia.

Apart from these moves, the Korean sales team that is based in Hong Kong has also hired Jihyun Cho as director and senior sales, while Jee Won Lee is hired as vice president.

Peter Johnson, Head of International Equities, says, "These appointments will strengthen our ability to provide institutional clients with refreshing and remunerative ideas".

He believes the new hiring will enhance ING's research coverage and deepen the firm's sales capacities in the region.
