Credit Suisse picks up ex-Goldman cap-intro executive

Deborah Lee joins Credit Suisse's prime-broking division, having previously worked on the capital-introductions team at Goldman Sachs.

Credit Suisse has further expanded its prime-broking unit by hiring former Goldman Sachs executive director Deborah Lee as a director on the capital-introductions team.

A 10-year veteran of hedge funds and prime broking, she previously worked in the cap-intro department at Goldman for 12 months, before leaving a year ago. Before that, she worked in investor services at Channel Capital Group in New York

At Credit Suisse, Lee will report to fellow director Ben Happ, who joined the firm in 2009 from Hong Kong-based hedge fund Abax Capital to run capital introductions in Asia. The Swiss bank came seventh in the Best Capital Introductions category of AsianInvestor's poll last autumn.

Credit Suisse hired Rocco Paduano in late 2009 as the prime broking COO replacement for Chris Nash. Further up the PB tree is Kevin Meehan (who is a managing director), and sitting at the top in Asia is Matt Pecot (another MD).
