Ivo Distelbrink transfers to the role internally.

CitigroupÆs corporate and investment banking division has announced a key appointment in its global transaction services (GTS) business, naming Ivo Distelbrink as regional cash sales head for Asia-Pacific.

In the Hong Kong-based role, he will be responsible for leading the sales of cash and treasury management services to corporations and financial institutions in 18 regional markets. Distelbrink will also lead the dedicated cash management sales teams in Asia-Pacific, while also overseeing a team of regional sales consultants covering pan-Asian, multi-country solutions.

In addition, he will also work closely with the global, regional and country customer coverage, product management and client delivery teams to ensure that CitiÆs clients continue to receive best-in-class service on top of the preeminent solution set in the industry.

Distelbrink takes on the new role internally and reports directly to Shayne Elliot, CEO and Asia-Pacific regional head of GTS. Most recently he was head of business development for GTS in Asia, and prior to this role was the GTS head in China where he was instrumental in building up one of its largest and fastest growing businesses in the region.

He first joined Citigroup in Brazil in 1994 and has held a number of senior positions in different countries across sales and relationship management, strategy and planning and country management.
