Citibank makes three senior appointments

The consumer group announces new appointments in consumer finance, investment sales and marketing.

In consumer finance, Simon Chow has taken up a new position as director of CitiFinancial, assuming responsibility for product development and strategic planning. Chow has 14 years experience in the financial services industry and served as CFO of Global Consumer Group Hong Kong since 1999. He has also worked at UBS, Lehman Brothers and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

In the investment sales and marketing division, Ricky Lin has been appointed as director. He will have overall responsiblity for product development, investment research, marketing and sales strategies for the bank's mutual funds and securities services businesses.

Lin has 13 years experience in fund management and financial planning. He joined Citibank in 1992 and was most recently function head of investment sales and research.

Citibank has also named Weber Lo as its new country marketing director based in Hong Kong. He will oversee the bank's overall marketing strategies as well as a full range of banking products and various business functions, including CitiGold wealth management banking, FX and deposit, lending, banking research and public relations and communications.

Lo joined Citibank in 2000 as head of CitiGold and most recently was head of card marketing. Prior to joining the banking sector, he held marketing roles at Coca Cola and Procter & Gamble Hong Kong.
