Citi names Thailand research head

Andrew Stotz crosses from Macquarie Securities.

Citigroup's Thai research operations have gained Andrew Stotz as the new head of research for the country. He starts the role in January 2006 and will report to Adrian Faure, the bank's Hong Kong-based investment research head for Asia Pacific.

Stotz shifts jobs from Macquarie Securities where he has run its Thailand research business since 2003. Prior to Macquaries, he also held head of research roles at SG Securities, WI Carr and Asia Equity. He started his career as a banking analyst with Dynamic Eastern Finance in 1994.

"As one of the top ranking analysts in Thailand, he brings with him a wealth of experience in the Thai market," comments Faure. "With him leading the Thai team, we're confident our research franchise will have an even stronger foothold in Thailand."
