BNP Paribas senior fund salesman exits

TG Lee, a senior director at BNP Paribas Investment Partners focused on institutional business development, has left the firm.

Lee spent six years at the French asset manager’s Hong Kong branch, where he focused on covering sovereign wealth funds, central banks, public and private pension funds, private corporations, foundations and endowments in Asia, according to his LinkedIn profile.

A BNP Paribas IP spokeswoman confirmed his departure but declined to offer more details about his future plans or discuss whether the bank is seeking a replacement.

Before joining the firm in November 2006, Lee spent a year at UBS Global Asset Management as a director, selling the Swiss fund house's products to institutional investors across Asia.

Previously he worked at State Street Global Advisors as a principal for nearly six years from July 1999-May 2005 in a similar capacity. Before that, he was with Jardine Fleming Investment Management, now part of JP Morgan Asset Management, in marketing and product development for institutional investors, focused on Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Indonesia.
