Adding up derivatives

ABN AMRO strengthens its Asian derivatives group with two new hires.

ABN AMRO's growing Asian derivative business has strengthened its offering in the structured credit and corporate equity derivative sectors with two senior hires.

Chris Hodgeman, formerly with TD Securities, and Bernie Lau, formerly with Citigroup, have joined ABN AMRO as senior transactors in the derivatives sales & solutions group (DSSG), based in Hong Kong.

"Chris and Bernie bring extensive experience in structuring derivatives solutions that will bolster our client offering," says Jamie McWilliam, Asian head of the DSSG. "Their strong product skills and experience in providing Asian clients with customized solutions will help us to market our full suite of credit, fund and equity derivative products to ABN

AMRO's broad Asian client base."

Hodgeman has more than 15 years' experience in Asia-Pacific in trading and client-facing roles. He will work as part of the structured asset marketing team, with primary focus on South Asia clients and ABN AMRO's suite of structured credit and fund & index derivatives products.

Lau has over 18 years' experience in Asia in banking, including derivatives structuring and sales roles across asset classes. He is the head of corporate equity derivatives for ABN AMRO in Asia and will focus on providing clients solutions to monetize, accumulate and hedge equity and equity-linked positions.
