JM's asset management company in India beefs up team

JM Financial Asset Management appoints Dwijendra Srivatava as debt fund manager for four funds.
JM Financial Asset Management, the fund management company of Nimesh Kampani in India, announced it had appointed Dwijendra Srivatava as debt fund manager. Srivatava will manage four JM funds, the JM Floater Fund, JM Income Fund, JM G-Sec Fund and JM Short Term Fund with effect from August 7. The funds were currently being managed by Shalini Tibrewala. Tibrewala will continue to manage a portfolio of five debt funds.

Srivastava has over seven years experience in the financial services sector and joins JM from Tata Asset Management where he was a debt dealer. He has an engineering degree followed by a masters in business administration

JM Financial Mutual Fund commenced operations in 1994 with a simultaneous launch of three funds - JM Liquid Fund (now JM Income Fund), JM Equity Fund and JM Balanced Fund. It is currently one of the top 10 mutual funds in the country, ranked by assets under management (AUM). JM Financial Asset Management is outside the purview of the joint venture JM Financial forged with Morgan Stanley in 1999.
