Some 200 delegates representing 123 companies gathered at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Hong Kong on May 24 for AsianInvestor's Asian ETF Summit, part of AI Week.

Speakers included Yvonne Ng of Amundi Asset Management, Matthew Arnold of State Street Global Advisors and Joel Coverdale of Axioma, who debated all aspects of exchange-traded funds and their growth in the region..

Discussions included talk of ETFs becoming the dominant fund structure in Asia by 2030, and warnings from wealth managers on the need to educate investors on the risks associated with leveraged and inverse ETFs.
