WEBCAST: The active decision in beta management

The 2008 global financial crisis forced investors to reconsider their asset allocation, which in many cases meant moving away from active strategies.

Now institutions have started to look again at investing, but in a more strategic way and across the equity spectrum. This process is increasingly including the use of alternative indices.

AsianInvestor carried out a live webcast interview with Northern Trust to learn more about the process of alternative indexing. We spoke to Bo Kratz, Northern Trust’s director of asset management for Asia Pacific; Mike Hunstad, head of quantitative research within the firm’s active equity group; and Ken Chuah, head of international equity index for Asia-Pacific at Northern Trust Global Investments.
