The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board has appointed Mark Machin to lead an expansion of its Asia-Pacific investments out of Hong Kong. China is a target above all.
BDL joins growing list of fund admin providers in Asia
Another new arrival in Hong Kong is Banque Degroof Luxembourg, which will target small and medium-sized funds. It says Korean asset managers are eager to set up Ucits vehicles.
ICBC Credit Suisse set to launch Hong Kong arm
The firm is to open its international arm next week with a staff of four and is on a recruitment drive to build a base in the city. It comes after ICBC increased its shareholding in the JV late last year.
