Stable investments for volatile times
The Asian Commodities Investment Summit attracted 31 top-level speakers and over 200 delegates representing more than 130 companies from across 10 countries to the Conrad Hotel, Hong Kong. Over one and a half days, our speakers addressed topical issues in the field of commodities, including how to get ahead of the market, manage future exposure, and emerging hot sectors.
The conference was opened by Dr Kenneth Courtis, Co-Founder of Themes Investment Management and Themes Investment Partners, who spoke on the current state and future of the global commodity markets.
The most popular speakers, as voted by the delegates, were Dr Kenneth Courtis; Randolph Koppa, President of the Trade and Development Bank; and Candice Beaumont, Managing Director of L Investments. The most popular rated session at the conference was Dr Courtis’ opening keynote address on the global commodity markets. Randolph Koppa’s address on Mongolia as an emerging resource story was well-received. The favorite panel discussions included gold and precious metals as well as base metals, which reflects some of the hottest topics in the commodities space at this time.
